Welcome back to our second season of the Holiday Light Stroll at McCrays Farm. It will begin on Friday, November 24th.
Most importantly, thank you to everyone who came out to see us the first year and made our return a possibility. We would have never guessed the first year to be such a great success, and that would not have been possible without everyone who came out to see us. We are in the process of getting ready to start the second year. We learned quite a bit the first year doing this and hopefully we made the improvements you were looking for. Some updates to go over:
First, the price will be the same as last year, $15/per person. Two and under can still enter without having to pay. We teamed up with TicketSpice this year so there will be a small processing fee added to each ticket. We thought the hands-free system with check-in that we had last year was the bees knees, but it didn’t go quite as planned so we are trying out a new system that should be more efficient for the check in process. It should go a lot quicker; you WILL need your phones to scan the barcodes, but your entire party can be pulled up on one barcode.
Second, we highly recommend placing online ticket orders to secure and guarantee your reservation. We will welcome walk-ins if there are more tickets available, but there is a chance tickets for that time could be sold out. If we are sold out for that 15 minute time block, you will not be able to purchase for that time and will have to wait until a time block becomes available.
Third, the parking lot. We apologize to those who got to experience the mud bog that ended up happening last year. The good news for most of you is that we had the parking lot re-done so there should not be the same problem that we had last year with the mud. Bad news for those of you with 4×4’s who enjoyed mudding in the parking lot, but for the rest of you it should be good news.
Fourth, dogs. We love them just as much as you, but they need to stay home for this event please. There are dark areas, bright lights, music, lasers, confined spaces, and a lot of people. We want everyone to have a safe, good, and fun time while walking through event. Last thing we want is someone having an incident with another persons’ fur baby.
So, with that out of the way, let’s refresh with some policies that are still in place:
It is still very much recommended to come with the proper footwear. Arriving with your brand-new pair of white Air Jordans is not the way to go. The path can become muddy because of the weather and the fact that most of the path is outdoors.
Strollers and wheelchairs will still be able to make it through the stroll. This statement does not apply to the Disney strollers that are three small humans wide. It will get tight in the haunted house area similar to last year, but all hallways are at least 36” wide.
If you’re still reading, awesome. Head back up to the top of the page and click on the Book Now button to get started.
